NCVA Site Rules
If you have any questions regarding the site that your team has been assigned to, do
not contact the school/site directly. Inundating sites with phone calls about tournaments
strains our relationships with the facility and may cause the site to stop hosting
tournaments. If you have a question about a school/site, you need to email vball@ncva.
com
The site rules for ALL NCVA facilities are:
NO ALCOHOL is permitted on the premises of any facility – This includes the parking
lot, quads/grass areas, gym, etc.
No outside food or beverages inside the facility. Water will be allowed when carried
individually, not in a cooler.
No ice chests, coolers, soft sided coolers, small coolers or large coolers will be allowed
inside.
No chairs will be allowed inside any facility with hardwood floors.
No broken folding chairs, tents, trash left outside the gym or parking lots.
Security Guards will be present at all convention centers to enforce site rules
Devices, of any kind, that heat food that require them to be plugged in and/or use a
flame, of any kind, are not permitted on the premises of any facility.
Warming up, or other activities (with a volleyball or not) are not permitted in the lobby
areas and/or spectator walkways at any site.
Penalties for violating these rules are:
Tournament Director will impose 13 Point Penalty. The 13 Point Penalty means that in
the team’s next set, the score will begin at 0-13, with 13 points automatically awarded to
the opposing team.
Receive $200 fine
Receive last place finish and points, if applicable.
Teams may be asked to leave the tournament.
All Sites: The NCVA would like to remind you to make sure you always lock your cars,
keep your expensive items out of plain view and keep your personal items within your
sight at each facility at all times.

Absolute Volleyball Facility
•Teams and players should bring their own folding chairs to sit on. We have no chairs
or bleachers.
•No Food allowed in the facility.
•There will be an area set up outside for teams to use.
•There will also be a snack shack available.
•There are 3 bathrooms on site.
City Beach Santa Clara
•No tailgating activities will be allowed outside the building in the parking lot, which is
shared by several businesses.
•Food may be brought inside. A shared storage and eating area will be available inside
the facility
•The following are not permitted inside or outside: Canopies, tables, BBQs, generators,
microwaves, and alcohol.’Camping’ is allowed in designated areas only
•Outside food, bags, and coolers are only allowed inside the City Beach Facility –
There will be tables inside for use
•No chairs, tables or coolers allowed inside.
•Parking is limited. City Beach Santa Clara has a small parking lot and our neighboring
businesses are busy
•No BBQ or Alcohol inside or outside
College of Alameda
•No Chairs, coolers or food inside the gym. Bleachers are inside this facility.
•No BBQ pits or tents allowed
•Parking fee on Saturday – No parking fee on Sunday. Please park in the student
parking lot on Campus Drive.
Deer Valley High School
•No BBQ grills, propane tanks or any type of device with open flames
•Chairs are ok with rubber tips or a towel/blanket under the chair, no newspapers
Folsom High School
•No chairs, food or coolers allowed in the gym, seating is provided inside the facility
•This site charges an entry fee
Hardwood Palace
•Food is allowed in the parking lot, however no canopies, bbq pits or picnic
•This site charges an entry fee
Los Medanos College
•No sitting on the bleachers at any time. This applies to all: players, parents, etc.
McClellan Event Center
Outside food & coolers will be allowed in the event center. However, no catered food
will be permitted. This includes, but is not limited to pizza, restaurant food, etc.
No BBQs, chaffing dishes or other electrical devices will be allowed to be setup and/or
used.
No alcohol is permitted.
Any participant or attendee that is found with alcohol or using a BBQ will be removed
from the event. In addition, the participant’s and/or attendee’s team will be sanctioned
and/or removed from the event without warning, no exceptions
Moreau Catholic HS
•There is absolutely no smoking on campus
•Dogs are not allowed on campus
MVVC Facility
•This site charges an entry fee
Norcal Courts
•This site charges an entry fee
•There will be a snack bar available
•All tents must be kept on the grass in the park area
•No Chairs, coolers or food inside the gym. Bleachers are inside this facility
•No canopies or BBQs allowed in the parking lot
North Salinas High School
•No parking on the grass at the school
•Park on Alvin Drive and walk through the Gyms
Pajaro Valley High School
No parking in the fire lanes or on the grass. Your car may be towed if you are parking
illegally.

San Jose Convention Center
The San Jose Convention Center will not allow teams to “camp” in the front, sides or
balconies of the convention center.
Tents and tables will not be permitted anywhere on the premises. Outside food is not
allowed in the center or on the premises.
Chairs and blankets will be allowed inside on the concourse.
San Mateo Event Center

•They offer a wide variety of healthy food and drink choices. Included are Chicken

Gym is located at the intersection of Taylor and Myrtle.
Skyline College

Solano Community College
•No chairs are allowed in the facility – Bleacher seating will be provided
•Please park in Student Lot #5 – the Faculty parking lot is by permit only

The Foundry
•Parking in the Foundry lots will be $10 per vehicle. There will be a shuttle from a
secondary lot which is about 2 blocks away.
•No food will be allowed in the facility, but food storage space is available just outside
the building.
•No tailgating activities will be allowed in the parking area, including: Camping,
canopies, tables, BBQs.
•The food storage area outside will be a shared area for all teams to use to eat.
•Outside chairs will not be allowed inside due to damage to the floor.
•Please consider carpooling and dropping of teams or supplies before parking.
